I've been told recently, that food stamp recipients can use their cards to buy restaurant meals. Not only have Commie Democrats convinced people they can kill 56 Million babies for convenience, now they have them so entrenched in the free money routine, they can't even fix their own meals. Apparently, it takes too much time away from smoking and shooting drugs.

Koolaide and natural juices holds more of a sugar content then a can of soda pop and should be banned then as well.

To promote a FDA aaproved beverage as non-lawful sales in USA, what ignorent bunch of housewives with no clue was on theat 50 people voting panel while everyone else was at work and did not know it is majority rule of public Vote in ATTENDENCE!

All those Pell Grant, food stamp, bought Commiecrat vote students, who graduated high school unable to read, will be seeing this as another back door method of validating their slimy use of food stamp cards to buy beer and they'll use their dope infested sense of civil involvement to influence queer Commiecrats in the Federal government to approve it. They'll need that freeloader spirit in Florida on Spring Break.

Actually it was not a freeloader spirit. That was USA daily supplies finance and provisons about 50 -80 years ago in this nation and home delivery services where nobody could see anyone in face value society.

People then chose to work as their families got larger, as condoms was not invented for public witness or access in USA until 1970s so large families.

Our right and it was USA responsibility and COnstitutional Obligations to supply and provisions and finance.

As well we also have $2500 per person of time of birth to current in accounts that surpass $1 million to everyone and $2500 a month as their livlihood INternational USA citizen rights of four fathers birthed of the nation, REAL NATIVE AMERICAN people are not all brown.

Indians got pissed and started cerimonial curses on white and black people to keep them poor and off the walll to not collect their money, because their back load checks were $25,000 and 1/4 acre of land each and ours is now interst rates at over a million plus to each and jealousy like a 4 year old mentality came back in play. GIve the BABIES inidian beads to occupy their time so big people can get some work done again.

Ain't that a fact. In Waterbury, all kids get breakfast in school because their "parent" is too lazy to get up and throw at least a bowl of cereal in front of them. Extends all summer long, also. I believe the program was to provide sustenance to poor people...not all the frills.

No hot food with food stamps, unless you have a reference I can verify.
If McDonalds takes food stamps,(EBT) you could go in and buy a salad, but not a burger or chili.
I suppose we could call that 'restaurant food'.

In Maryland you can buy crabs at the eastern shore area with food stamps, at farmer's markets. They figured out a way sell them cold, not that difficult.

In NY,'Most households applying for food stamp benefits no longer have to pass a savings/resource test in order to get food stamp benefits.'

In our county we have a family that got $600,000 in a settlement, getting zero income food stamps, resources are excluded. Medial card too.

We have a duty to be fair with our citizens, but no duty to be generous.
We have been generous, and now that generosity is conflicting with our fairness.

Many who do not work, ever, are living better than a family with earnigs just above social service limits.
It is not fair to those who work and try, to be worse off than those who do nothing.

SSI mothers have multiple children, often to SSI sperm donors, so no one is financially responsible for those children, except taxpayers.

SSDI recipients are expected to pay child support.
SSI recipients are not.
It is all upside down.

We'll never get rid of these cockroaches of society until we figure out a way for them not to have a vote so they can't keep voting politicians back in that are going to continue the handouts to all the bums and freeloaders. Taxpayers are fed up with these parasites who have made welfare a way of life instead of a temporary situation while they get back on your feet. Put a time limit on how long people can mooch off the government!

Soda, however, weakens the bones by leeching out calcium...while orange juice acid may damage the teeth and add calories, many varieties come vitamin-enriched, so there's a bit of consolation. Soda strips enamel and damages the skeleton in addition to packing on the pounds...BTW, even sugar free soda damages bones...

If folks take the handouts, they get the strings attached...kinda like when states accept federal funds...

Tell me, which political party is it that is campaigning on promises to cut back or limit Welfare, and social service beneifts?

I've been paying attention and I have not heard it.

No word from the Chritian right to cut or limit food stamps, just the Social Security and Medicare that I paid into and have been promised.

In 1996 they did the wonderful 'Welfare Reform', and the Right loved it. The net result was that single mothers stopped filing for child support.
Instead of getting TANF money they get free or cheap housing, free or cheap energy, and of course the medical card for everyone, and a big increase in food stamps, since TANF money was not counted against the Food Stamps.

In our state they have greatly relaxed the FS regs, but the Dems do control government here in Maryland.
I do not see either political party doing any straight talking when it comes to social service benefits.
Guess we are just supposed to have Faith they will address the issue if they get enough seats.
I have my doubts.

I have heard conservatives complain about social service benefits, while their minor children were getting medical assistance, or welfare paid for the delivery of their grandchild to thier teenage daughter.

They people need to bring this up at 'town meetings' with politicians, and I do not see it happening.

Which party is it that says they will stop this nonsense with food stamps that are not needed?
Got any references?

Update:

The four states (California, Florida, Michigan, & Arizona) permitting food stamp use in restaurants have all mentioned that it was done to help the elderly, disabled and homeless people.(This is an exception allowed by the few rules imposed by the federal government.)

USA Today reported that the National Restaurant Association is lobbying for food stamps to be accepted, and why not? In difficult economic times, the substantial spike in food stamp dollars represents a considerable market for restaurants.
