Excellent. Hopefully this can be used to help overturn other states' ridiculous laws.

It is amazing that all this uproar about the rights of women over the control of their own body, have no thought over the baby's control over what happens to its body.

The fetus has no means of controlling anything, nor has it any rights.

There is no baby. "baby" is an infant, and infants are already born. "Baby" is also a term of endearment. We're not talking about babies. As long as a FETUS is inside the WOMAN'S body, using her organ systems because it's own aren't functioning enough (or at all) to sustain it's own life, then the only BODY with any rights of control, is the woman.

Yes for sure you are correct........I hear all the time at the hospital the women coming in saying I'M GOING TO HAVE A FETUS, I'M GOING TO HAVE A FETUS.......IT'S A BOY FETUS IT'S A BOY FETUS........Do you know just how stupid you sound trying to rewrite definitions.

Nah, that would be you.

A woman would not say she's going to have a fetus, because it WON'T be a fetus at that point, it'll be an infant, AKA baby.

What I hear women say is that it's a boy or girl. I've never heard them append fetus, OR "baby" to the end of that statement.

I wouldn't know. I'm not on the left.

Still, as a woman who has been pregnant and has given birth, and as half of my practice involves pregnant and laboring women, I likely hear them more than you do.

Libs rule! Fundietards drool! Glad to see a court overturn this unnecessary and barbaric law. Most of these laws are just political posturing by politicians pandering to the lowest common denominator in our society.

Cockroaches have hearts too. Do you enjoy stopping beating hearts?

It has nothing to do with enjoyment; it is about the right of the woman NOT to be pregnant if she so desires.

Never learned about verb tenses, I see. She would say "I HAVE a fetus", or "I AM GOING to have a baby." Now, according to the 1st amendment, she could say "I have a baby inside me" but she would be wrong sicne babies are BORN.

It was also her choice to not use protection.

She could say "it's a girl" long before she is born. Perhaps instead of saying baby which you object to, we can say boy or girl.

We could say reasonably that the woman aborted a girl.

So she has two choices to make, doesn't she?

And this is nothing but deflection on your part, unless you are fine with her making the choice to have an abortion if she DID use protection. If not, then there is no point bringing it up.

That would still be incorrect, because what is aborted is the pregnancy, which is neither male nor female.

If you're talking about fetal homicide laws, that's easily done. The do not exist in all states, they apply to the fetus dying during another crime, protect the woman from a forced abortion, and they exclude voluntary abortion. And none of them has anything to do with "babies".

Welcome to a free fu**ing country. It is neither your place, nor the government's, to interfere with the private decisions of the citizenry. Whether someone uses safe sex or not may be important to what happens, but it is still the individual's choice. We all make possibly dangerous decisions every day, from getting out of bed to getting into a car.

Even if everyone used protection, there is still an established failure rate. There is also a horrific paucity of responsible sex ed in this country; they may think they are doing things right when they are acting on bad or limited information.
