Gov. Bobby Jindal signs illegal immigrant hiring bills

Jul 7, 2011 | Posted by: Agent of Chaos | Full story: www.nola.com

Jindal's office said he has signed House Bill 342 by Rep. John Bel Edwards, D-Amite, to require all private contractors who want to do business with a state or local public entity to use the federal worker verification system, "E-Verify," to assure that all employees are in the country legally.

Jindal also has signed House Bill 646 by Rep. Kirk Talbot, R-River Ridge, that requires private businesses to use the same "E-Verify" system as one means to check the status of workers or face fines for each illegal immigrant employed.

If every state across the nation would use E-verify and implement laws to hold employers violating the laws & hiring illegals, it would be half the battle to discourage them from coming here. We'd also have to ensure that there are no sanctuary cities for them to flock to in their quest of illegally occupying our nation.

Gov. Jindal needs to be applauded for signing this law without any hoopla. It's good that so many states are now trying to deter illegal immigration employment. I sure hope that other governors realize the financial drain illegals have on state budgets. But, at least we'remaking a dent.

More governors need to take the example that Gov. Martinez of NM and Gov. Jindal have been setting. Granted, Gov. Martinez has been met with plenty of obstacles by the Democrats in the legislature, but I believe she can eventually get immigration reform in our state set and undo part of the fiasco that Gov. Richardson created with regard to illegals being coddled.

I hope no organizations try to get this repealed or challenge it in court because then Obama might start interfering with yet another case.

Ohhh no...another state wanting to protect it's citizens from an invasion of citizens from another country who happen to be here ILLEGALLY. Funny how the democRATS oppose e- verify because of the potential for data entry errors but support OBLUNDER care and having the entire nations medical history entered into a computer database...yeah....no potential for errors there.

Dam now i respect this governor i kind of thought he was a winnie but I was wrong. Now cut some social programs so people who refuse to work because they believe the government should pay for everything. They will start filling these jobs that illegals will only do. They are the only ones that do these jobs do to all the free loaders in this country.

Jindal had no backup plan for the BP spill and the GOP has ignored all the cuts in the State Emergency Dept.

"But a review of Louisiana’s prespill preparation suggests that the state may be open to the same criticisms that Mr. Jindal has leveled at BP and federal authorities.

The state has an oil spill coordinator’s office. Its staff shrank by half over the last decade, and the 17-year-old oil spill research and development program that is associated with the office had its annual $750,000 in financing cut last year. The coordinator is responsible for drawing up and signing off on spill contingency plans with the Coast Guard and a committee of federal, state and local officials."

After Bush/Cheyney abandoned the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Jindal cuts his State Emergency Dept.-and he stated the Coast Guard/Navy and the President were not serious about the Louisiana Gulf-that's a lie

The economy of the states and of the nation as a whole will be affected unless those who can legally work take up the jobs and that is not the case so far.

This is not the "Obama,Our next President" crowd that you have stumbled upon. Take your blame Bush crap, along with your "Hoax and Chains" crap down the road. I think the Gay Marriage forum has a place for you. Take your change down the road and leave me here with mine.
