Gov. Jindal says he'll sign La. 'birther' bill

There are 5 comments on the www.katc.com story from Apr 26, 2011, titled Gov. Jindal says he'll sign La. 'birther' bill. In it, www.katc.com reports that:

Napoleonville Representative Joe Harrison's Immigration bill would require public agencies to verify employee citizenship for employment.

The bill says: "illegal immigration has resulted in economic hardship and lawlessness within the state and that illegal immigration is encouraged when public agencies provide public benefits without verifying immigration status." He says "if they're illegal and working cheaply, it undercuts the idea of helping our people get jobs."

That's pretty funny that Bobby Jindal is an immigration hardliner considering that he is an "anchor baby".

He does not like to talk about it, but he was born six months after his mother arrived on a student visa. Of course she never left. Strangely nobody makes an issue of it as long as Bobby keeps reminding us how tough he is on immigration.

Jindal has been a hell of a governor. If he signs a common sense birther bill requiring candidates to prove their legal status to get on the ballot in LA so be it. Brewer of AZ would have signed their birther bill if she had known AZ wouldn't be going it alone. No big deal. Candidates just whip out their long form birth certificates and go on. Oh that's right. There is one candidate protecteded by the radical left and the liberal media that refuses to do that isn't there?

This must be a bad day to be a birther.

So states can go ahead and pass common sense laws requiring political candidates, especially Presidential candidates who should be held to the highest standards as the potential leaders of the free world, to document their qualifications as per the Consitution, without a whimper from left wing stooges now that the obamanation has produced a long form birth certificate, right?
