Nonsense.

Obama has deported record numbers of illegals the past two years.

"There are more than 18,500 Border Patrol agents at the southern border--the highest number in the agency's history.

"When Bush (was in office) there were just over 11,000 Border Patrol agents.

"President Barack Obama ordered a second round of Guard troops to the border last year, with the first of those troops arriving in Texas, California, Arizona and New Mexico in August 2010."

Now, the National Guard troops will do mostly "aerial surveillance missions using military helicopters and airplanes equipped with high-tech radar and other gear."

Associated Press, 12/21/11 National Guard at border...

Perry didn't even know that drones were already being used on the border.

Perry knows diddly about anything except glad-handing and performing.

I guess an anchor turdito wouldn't mention the obamanation's back door amnesty by executive fiat. 300,000 illegal mexihole deportations were halted and put under review. All an illegal mexihole has to do now is to swear that they would be future demoratic voters and they get to stay.

The GOP adopted a border enforcement-only approach to immigration just in time for election season. Republican presidential hopefuls, with one exception (Newt Gingrich), have refused to discuss any comprehensive fixes, insisting that the Obama administration has failed to crack down on illegal immigration. Never mind that enforcement efforts are at historically high levels along the border. Or that U.S. Customs and Border Protection statistics indicate that arrests and illegal crossings at the southern border dipped to record low levels last year. And that the Obama administration has deported more than 1 million undocumented and legal immigrants convicted of crimes over the past three years. For now, Republicans insist that the only fix worth backing is more fences and boots at the border.
