Riley Opposed To Yes/No Vote On Electronic Bingo
MONTGOMERY, Alabama - Gov. Bob Riley said he opposes a simple statewide referendum on whether to allow electronic bingo gambling because it could open the door to widespread gambling with only a majority vote of the Legislature.

Great. Wonder if Riley would have made it to office if he needed 3/5 of the popular vote. If you represent the people, and the majority of people want something, why do you wish to oppose it? Quit trying to force your personal ideals on the public and do your job Mr. Riley. Oops forgot, he's a politician and apparently as of late they no longer care what their constituents want, rather they are just there for their own personal gain. In that spirit Mr. Riley you are doing a fine job.

Why don't we just get a lottery like Tennessee and Georgia then we won't have to worry about gambling running rampant, and it can be controlled and taxed by the state?
