Let's see now - first the man left his elected position as Mayor of Foley with 2 years still on his term during the middle of an investigation to take a position involving Insurance with the State; then he was appointed Revenue Commissioner of the State by Boob Riley, and now he's leaving that position to be appointed to Probate Judge of Baldwin County, a position that doesn't even require a law degree to be a Judge; all this from a man who initially lost Baldwin County in his first term election bid for Gov., only to have the vote totals changed, thus putting him in the Mansion on the Hill. Does anyone else think there is some payback going on or am I Forrest Gump?

You are exactly right. I guess Riley wanted to make sure that Tim had a job after Riley leaves office and both of them knew full well that no other Governor would keep Tim in his current position as Revenue Commissioner since he lacks the academic background for that position. You'll also note that both of these positions are 'appointed' positions and not subject to voter approval. This appointment is strictly Good Old Boy politics that Alabama has suffered with for decades and for which it has paid a big price in
progress. One thing that has worked in Foley's favor is that since Tim resigned as Mayor, there seems to be a great improvement in our police department that is no longer under the influence of the City Council.
