Ron Paul has warned the U.S. is 'slipping into a fascist system' dominated by government and businesses.

The Republican presidential candidate made the bold claim as he held a rally on Saturday - upstaging other nearby Republican Party banquets.

'We've slipped away from a true Republic,' Paul said. 'Now we're slipping into a fascist system where it's a combination of government and big business and authoritarian rule and the suppression of the individual rights of each and every American citizen.'

Well being the lone superpower is quite heady, and having the 28 mini-minions in NATO following their lead, they think they can even get away with acting like fascists.

It always helps to have a gang trailing the bully when attacking and destroyhing the governments of other coutnries.

The USA are making hay whilst the sun shine; their hegemony is at its peak and they want to remodel the world to their image.

That could be their downfall. Soon or later, one of their enterprises is going to drag another powerfull nation against them in a head-on clash.

Rob Paul makes some legitimate points with regard to foreign policy. If he weren't intent on destroying the social welfare system then I might actually be able to support him. But he is an extremist.

Ron Paul is just a whacky idiot when it comes to foreign policy. He would make the USA isolationist, and Russia and China would fill the void. He would destroy the USA faster than Obama.
He wants to weaken the USA internationally, while Russia and China have an agenda of expansion.
Hell, he is so old now, and along with the stress of office, he would probably die during his first year in office.

I am a progressive my friend so needless to say I do not agree with you at all about Obama. That said you make some valid points about Paul. I think our foreign policy does need to be examined in a way that neither party is serious about doing. That's why I said that Paul has made some legitimate points. But I do not believe in isolationism. You can's simply fall back behind your borders and pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist. So over all I agree with you about Ron Paul.

not meddling in other countries internal affairs. Right..we like it done to us.

Sound money and not printing it out of thin air. Auditing the autonomous Fed Reserve.

Again when it comes to foreign policy he has some valid points. I don't disagree with that. But that's not all he stands for. We're talking about a man who opposes the civil rights act because it violates the sovereignty of the souther states. A Ron Paul America would be more of a confederacy with the states holding most of the power. We tried that for the first few years of the countries existance and it didn't work! Then for decades after that the weak federal government was unable even to end slavery. If that's the America you want then fine, you are entitled to your oppinion. But I don't.
