If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help,” Obama said.“Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”
McDonnell was joined by a pair of small business owners, including Melissa Ball of Ball Office Products who said she was insulted by the president’s comments.
“President Obama is wrong,’’ Ball said.“Americans do build their own business, and we need a president who believes that as well.’’
McDonnell a GOP "surrogate"?
More like a teabagger stooge.
Seems they all suffer comprehension disorder.
Reading and hearing.

Let’s see him blast Romney for not releasing the same 24 years of tax returns that he gave McCain in 2008 for the VP vetting process… can’t wait to see what he is hiding… those returns are coming out whether Romney wants them to or not, LOL!

When criticizing the Republican party, no one has to fabricate dirt. They are knee-deep in it.

Most people don't want to see Romneys tax forms. We want jobs. We want a solution to a slugish, nearly stopped economy. We know Obama cannot give use those things, so that leaves only Romney. So his tax forms are a moot point.

Both parties have their share of dirt. But the Republican party's dirt needs sandblasting.

Under Obama, we have gained well over 4 million jobs. Under George W, we lost jobs on a continual basis.

Not that over 8% unemployment is good enough. But that number would be a lot smaller were it not for Republican obstructionism.

No, Obama has lost more jobs then he helped create. Either you are lying, or you are unimformed.

Whiskers, this not the first time yu didn't know what you were talking about. Under Obama, we have had 27 consecutive months of private sector job growth.

Who knows, Whiskers? Maybe if you were more familiar with the facts, you'd become a Democrat!

Is the oxygen that thin in Minneapolis? With Romney, Limbaugh, Hannity, Bachmann et al, the Republican party is wading knee deep in a cesspool of unadulterated filth.

"you didn't build that"
If that was taken out of context as the Ds claim, then who did build "it"?

It wasn't the government, they don't have the ability to build anything structural. So who did?

The government contracts with private enterprise to physically accomplish most tasks, roads, bridges, etc. But, there needed to be private enterprise to accept those contracts.

So who did build it?

The government is of the people, it is not in charge of the people.
