That applies to the Republican party as well. What has your party offered in this last two years to help the American citizen other then try to get back in power? Regardless of the consequences to us.

Not party affiliated but if you mean the gop then simply look at trying to stop the incredibly wasteful and reckless spending boondoggles which are hurting the taxpayer and will suffocate their children with Debt.

If you think giving away money or gifts to citizens or illegals and foreign governments, on borrowed money from China and on the backs of people actually paying taxes, is the goal, you're lost.

Like I said, you're a puppet to your political leader. No mind of your own.

I'm no Perry fan, but:

1) Bill White left office with the city of Houston something like 1.7 BILLION in debt. Anise Parker is still trying to dig her way out of the mess.

2) Bill White had the city of Houston as a sanctuary city for illegals. He looked the other way when several HPD Officers were murdered by illegals. The Houston Police Department and the Dallas Police Department have both turned their back on White. These two departments are both endorsing Perry. White is definitely not telling the truth.......he wants OPEN BORDERS and he will get them if elected. He is lying when he says he will "get tough".......he never "got tough" in Houston, he tied the hands of the police. HPD was not ever allowed to ask if a person is here illegally. I know several people who have had traffic accidents with illegals and not one of those illegals got so much as a ticket for the accidents they caused. No driver's license, no insurance, no address, sleeping under a bridge......yet still driving a car.

3) In my opinion, like the city of Houston if White gets in, Texas will go the way of California..........BROKE.

At least a people can still get jobs in Texas and Texas has signed on to the lawsuit (along with 19 other states) that is seeking to REVOKE OBAMA HEALTH CONTROL. White would never do that. He is 100% in the tank for Obama. So, if you like Obama and his COMMUNISM, then you will really like Bill White.

I do not say this enough times, I can't stand Rick Perry, but he is far over the lesser of the two evils.......just sayin'.

Officers, mayor square off over immigration policy

Among other requests, Houston police union wants ban against asking about status overturned

By JAMES PINKERTON

July 3, 2009, 2

Houston’s largest police union, citing the death of six officers during Mayor Bill White’s tenure, called on the mayor and City Council this week to hire more officers, restore $14 million in overtime pay and overturn the long-standing policy of not questioning residents about their immigration status.

In a letter to White, Gary Blankinship, president of the Houston Police Officers Union, called last week’s slaying of veteran officer Henry Canales a “trifeca failure” of federal, state and city government to protect citizens and police officers from criminal illegal immigrants.

White responded with a news conference Thursday to make clear there would be no change in the department’s policy on illegal immigrants.

Blankinship disputed the mayor’s budget calculations, and asserted the current force of 5,182 officers means 15 fewer on the job than the 5,167 on the payroll when White took office in 2004. He noted that Police Chief Harold Hurtt said last month that the city should have 6,400 officers on the force.

“We need to reinstate the (cadet) classes, reinstate the overtime that’s making up for the 1,200-officer shortage, and back off this immigration policy so our officers can be safe,” Blankinship said.“Quit handcuffing our officers so they can identify these criminal aliens, and get them off the street before they can kill police officers.”

You just described what every GOP congressman has done for the past decade. How is that any different from the Dems? The GOP ran up over a trillion dollars on an unnecessary war in Iraq, then proceeded to run the economy into another depression.

Within a decade Texas will be solidly Democratic due to the increase in the hispanic vote.

The GOP may get a "teabagger bump" this election, but the long term is a continued decline as the country becomes more urban and more minority.

Just look at California- whites are down to 40% which is why it is such a reliable Democratic state in the majority of elections. Same goes for Hawaii (30% white) & D.C.(30% white).

Texas was only 50% white according to the 2000 census, which means they are likely in the minority already. The only thing keeping the GOP in power is the fact that the old white population votes at a higher rate than the younger minority population.

Within a decade over 1/3rd of the GOP voters will die off, to be replaced by an equal number of younger hispanic Democratic voters.

NEWSFLASH: Many Hispanics are CONSERVATIVE......they don't necessarily vote for Democrats. In fact I also include some other minorities in that as well. Yesterday,I spoke to a black girl who is a naturalized citizen in her 20's who voted for McCain in the Pres. election. She actually sees RIGHT THROUGH OBAMA. So, I'm not so sure you are right on this. Have you ever lived in Texas? Have you ever been to Texas?

Finish the statement: "Just look at California"...look at a bankrupt state where anyone with any sense is packing up to flee. That goes for people who can afford to leave, but more importantly, businesses that are leaving for states where taxes are not so oppressive. Democrat majorities and unions have destroyed your economy and you are too stupid to see just how bad a shape you are in.

So you and your dependable minorities can drown in your own crap.

Stahl: Why Are So Many Tea Partiers Women? I Find That So Intriguing

Posted on October 18, 2010

CBS' Leslie Stahl befuddles "Morning Joe" with her question.

"Who runs the Household economy?(women)" other guest

"Women as we all know are smarter than men," Mike Barnicle chimed in. "They have better instincts than men. And they know... the government or your household, you have a checkbook. You can't start writing check for things you can't pay for..." Barnicle added.

"The protests are channeled through organized politics. Conservatives don't take to the streets, they don't burn cities down. They don't riot."

Newsflash- 75% of Hispanics are registered DEMOCRATS. 95% of all blacks are registered DEMOCRATS. The overwhelming majority of the other minority groups are also registered DEMOCRATS. So while you will be able to find a few minorities here & there who support the GOP, the statistics don't lie.

And yes, I lived in Texas for 3 years.

I wasn't talking about the economy, simply the future voter demographics.

Eventually the GOP voters will be concentrated in small rural pockets of the deep south, hiding from the black & hispanic majorities looking for revenge for those decades of discrimination.

If your defense is to say that the Democrats are as bad or worse than the republicans, it's backed up by the facts and no reason to keep them around.

Democrat Majority Senate Authorized the Iraq War too. Deal with it.

Where's the Depression? Is that your Hope?

The recession that started 11 months after Dems took control of Congress in 2007??? That doesn't support your assumption.

Where are the Depression Soup Lines? Was Poverty at 15% Under Bush? 14% Poverty under Bush?

Wow! Nearly 15% Poverty Under OBAMA so maybe that's your Depression Angle? Is so, it's happening under Obama's term & not Bush? Why aren't these facts lining up with your assumption?
