Clovis prosecutor wants chief justice out of case
A special prosecutor has asked that State Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles Daniels be disqualified from hearing any matters involving the bribery prosecution of Las Cruces District Judge Michael Murphy.

This is the most questionably ironic and funny part of the whole article:
"A number of judges involved as possible witnesses in the Murphy case have pending Judicial Standards Commission investigations in which Daniels, as a member of the court, might have to make rulings."
A number of judges have pending Judicial Standards investigations before the NM Supreme Court.
Not one one or two, not a couple or a few, but A NUMBER of judges.
Hmmm seems the ones who really need to be suspended or terminated are finding ways to get rid of the ones they don't like and by doing so they get to skate. Much like a criminal informant who gets a better deal by ratting on someone else.
So that's the kind of people in the justice system in New Mexico? Wow.
My faith in the system continues on its downward spiral...
