$100,000 for a kitchen renovation in a public building beats the crap out of $5 million for an executive jet so Bill Richarson could fly to Mexico to see him mommy on the taxpayer's tab.

Or the hybrid vehicle that never got driven (but made it look like he was trying to save money) while he had the state police driving him around Albuquerque in a $80K Escalde at 100 mph.

Once again proving our best and brightest in the nation and state are not our leaders. Not smart people but great theives.

amount of money or hypocrisy is the point here - period. Especially since her being elected focused on the excesses of the previous administration. This is still excess, though on a smaller scale. She can afford to buy her own coffee maker if that is her personal choice. The state ought maybe to pay for a reasonable percentage of that; the rest should be up to her. For all we know, the next governor might take it out and buy a $20 Mr. Coffee. Guests at the mansion can drink coffee served from a restaurant style coffee maker which in all likelihood does not cost $3K.

The same fools whining about this are the ones that did nothing but heap praise on good old
Fat Bill when he spent like there was no tomorrow -
remember those days you dumb as crap fools.
Of course he spent money on three chefs rather than doing any upgrades to the governors mansion.

that is a lie. Richardson didnít really have three chefs and normal people understand that this is a place where official functions are conducted. So nobody should care if the facilites need upgrades or people working there.

This is similar to what I had in mind and likely just like the one that was tossed.

This should do the job, is practical and would demonstrate some alignment with the working stiffs that are paying the taxes.
