The funds including $500,000 to the Town of Huntsville for sewer plant upgrades,$235,000 to Scott County for a new ambulance purchase, and additional funds for lights and playground at the Town of Oneida's Bear Creek Sports Complex and a playground at the Town of Huntsville's Flat Creek Park.[Quote]

Yap! we got plenty of shit..I mean Bullshit in the county! Them thare sewer upgradges ull shure help!

"A lot of places say,'Here is our problem. Fix it,' Gov. Haslam said. "Scott County isn't one of those places. You have a long history of leaders stepping forward and saying,'I want to fix this.'"

One question, name one good thing, accomplishment, new recruited business oppurtunity our present county government has accomplished since they were elected? Better yet, name some who have attempted an improvement or recruitment? Well, well! Them thare tax dollars ain't dried up yet, geuss them fat cats still living good!

Yap! just what we needed. A new playground! Maybe the meth heads and welfarees can enjoy it while the 20% off the county population that does work drive 3 hours a day to a place where there is a job!

If you ain't part of the solution - then you are part of the PROBLEM!
How many jobs have YOU Created?
How many retirees have you invited to move here?
How many services have you created - such as a TAXI service?
How many fruit bearing trees have you planted?
How many hepful hints have you provided to your commisioner?
BUT STEAM does need to be vented!

Your point well made. I think we all could do more. However I am not an elected official who is supposed to serve the people of this county and not their own interests. I like many people of this county have to work and drive several hours per day to work so we don't have a lot of time to recruit a business. As far as hints to commissioners, well good luck unless you can provide them some money to sweeten the deal. My question still stands -

One question, name one good thing, accomplishment, new recruited business oppurtunity our present county government has accomplished since they were elected? Better yet, name some who have attempted an improvement or recruitment? I think that record stands for itself.

I think that the people can see and identify crap when it's in front of them. Hopefully we all will be part of the solution come the next election because a lot of us are tired of the same old corruption. I for one am tired of politicians acting like they are doing some great feat, give them a sewer improvement grant or funding a new ambulance. Yap that one is needed cause there is a lot of people being hauled out of county for healthcare now. Hope you are not serious enough that you can't make the trip.

Well, I hope you enjoy your playground lights and your sewer upgrades. I'm sure that people without jobs will enjoy them. I think the last time I knew anything about that playground it wasn't even used or open to the public? Yap, you see a turd, call it for what it is and let the people decide! Ya Hoo!

The self-serving can't see in the dark to either play or flush. Can't "see the light" to help others either, I guess. Never seen so many big bullfrogs in such a small pond before.

We've got empty buildings all over the place. Either they are trying to charge to much rent for em, so small businesses/creative efforts can't afford it; or that $1 mil is being misplaced. I do recognize that the $l mil grants came through designated parks and recreation funding, so probably can't be used otherwise. Might provide a few more jobs to fix/add on in those places tho, and hopefully keep taxes down a bit. If we can't work/no jobs...might as well go PLAY?

Wouldn't it have been nice if that $1 mil had been applied to the hospital tho? I've got no problem with the new ambulance...sorely needed! Both can mean the difference between life and death.

Yap! it's been miss placed all right, right into the politicians pockets, or their buddies who own the company they will soon give the contract to who are going to go put the lights up at Bear Creek playground. That place is not open to the public and never has been cause the money to open it was miss appropriated and funneled somewhere else. So who's playing up there, using the locked playground, the big whigs? Great to have that complex that nobody but the politicians have a key to. State give us the ambulance cause they know that the hospital is sank. Wanta place a bet the new contract for the hospital is being drawed up under the table and outta sight as we speak. The company will soon get it scott free. Then they will stay a couple of months and declare bankruptcy and sell the property to a new landfill from outta state. Jimbob, Billybob and Bobo ain't letting no new business come in here. The few companies that have workers can keep paying the ones they got minimum wage as long as no good factory comes in and raises the standard of living or wage base. The politicians are getting money both ways, under the table to keep business out and then from their buddy who pays them under the table to get work off the grants the county does get. Yap, only way to change is to get rid off every last elected one! The sooner the better! YaHoo!
