This law turns the clock back nearly 100 years here in the seemingly unprogressive South and is simply embarrassing. There is no argument against the Theory of Evolution other than that of religious doctrine. The Monkey Law only opens the door for fanatic Christianity to creep its way back into our classrooms. You can see my visual response as a Tennessean to this absurd law on my artistís blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/04/pu... with some evolutionary art and a little bit of simple logic.

Evolution is just as much a fact as gravity. Creationism on the other hand is not only not scientific it also has the added benefit of being illegal to teach in public schools.

The ONLY way they could be taught is if it were given equal time with ALL other religions, and that would NOT be in science class.

Sorry Josh, but you lost this one likely before you were even born.

You are correct. Macro evolution is made up by the creationist "scientists" and is not a fact. Speciation, however, is a fact.

Christians today have a hard time discovering we do not in fact live in a theocracy , but they wish it to be.
