GOP targets education for cuts
By Ray Gronberg [email protected]; 419-6648 DURHAM -- Spending guidelines released Wednesday suggest Republicans in the General Assembly want to cut allotments to North Carolina's various public education programs by more than $1.4 billion, a reduction of 12 percent.

Well they may as well just stop education since the buses won't be able to run due to lack of funds to buy $7.00/gal gas.
