Beverly, I voted for you because I saw a candidate
that wouldn't allow testosterone to cloud their
judgement when making decisions. I'm not sure now
whether that was a good decision or bad. I am one
of the unemployed who has been unemployed for over
a year and was sad to hear that you did not vote
to extend the unemployment benefits for us. We are
not a part of the collectively lazy we are looking
for jobs, and following all the necessary protocols
for seeking employment. We have all made some executive decisions to perhaps pass on a $7.00 and hr a job in hopes of perhaps a $9.00 an hour job.
We only want to pay our mortgages, car payments,
insurance, utilities and eat. There is no room for
anything else. No date nights, no movies, nothing
new I can't even make necessary home improvements.
My credit score is very low because I cannot now make all my payments to creditors which impacts the hiring process. Employers aren't not looking to hire people with bad credit because they think we will steal from them. Politicians make these broad decisions to do xy or z without factoring in the total equation. We are not getting rich off of
unemployment we are barely surviving and we need those benefits, because unemployment has dropped 2.5% in three months it is still high. I beg of you to reconsider your decision and not let those good ole boys allow you to play tit for tat with our lives.
Sincerely
A woman who voted for you for change
