California truly is the home of fruits and nuts. The evidence is clear, problem is they’re running the state government.

How do you fingerprint all those illegals? I mean that will just make them mad, and they will officially take over your state.

If being free makes me a criminal, well so be it. Our founding fathers were criminals too in the British eyes. Not comparing myself to them of course, but you get my point.

"Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen Trutanich said not only would the law prevent crimes, it would also help police solve them. He noted that casings left behind from shootings can be traced via the registry."

Am I missing something here, or this person completely full of shit?

No, you aren't missing anything; your diagnosis is correct. The condition seems prevalent among the governing class in California.

I hope this asinine law gets challenged in court right away and is declared unconstitutional as it deserves to be.

Exercise of one's rights should never be an excuse for the government to track one's movements, collect and amass huge DBs of biometric data, etc.

America is founded on a presumption of liberty and intrinsic individual rights. Our government and institutions must start with this idea at the foundation. Instead, we keep trying to adopt ideas, methods and programs from elsewhere, where the presumption is that the individual is property of the State. I don't care if "all other civilized nations" do A, B, or C. This nation was created to be unique in the world and an example to follow, not to be a "me too" society that follows the lead of the foreign powers we chased off of this continent long ago.

Let's reshape our government to match with the ideals we profess to honor.

Get ready for this, there is legislation thats been working its way through the federal level which will require micro etching of casing bases and the base of bullets, both will be traceable to purchasers once the type of purchase laws you see being proposed in California are enacted. You will be purchasing serialized ammo which will be as traceable as the handgun. In NJ when you buy pistol ammo you are required to present a drivers license and sign a log book with your pedigree and the amount and type of ammo purchased. This california proposal was not dreampt up recently. Get everyone you know in the voting booths, ask people if they are registered, you'll be surprised whos not.

And then they wonder why we are so cynical of their intent ...
.
Oh well, the black market needed a lift in this economy, and what better way to 'enliven' the matter but with ~yet another~ outlawed item?
.
Bullets anyone?

This really really really sucks for recreational target shooters as ammo is so much cheaper online. I'm so pissed about this. Now the local dealers can basically charge what ever they want.

One shot one kill, Don't waste ammo. 3 round bursts
no rock n' roll. And be sure and use your casing catcher net. Anybody interested in a quad .50?

I'm going to have to cut back some....

Of course you think overpopulation doesn't exist, and therefore has no bearing on loss of liberty. But it most certainly does.
Nothing generates laws, regulations & the loss of freedom faster than more & more people bumping into each other.

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Gemini

Financial worries are never far away in these troubled times, but try not to let them get out of control. or you'll make yourself feel really fraught. If you're starting to panic about how you can afford this very expensive month, you need to work out a strict budget. Above all, be realistic about what you can and can't do, and don't allow panic to lead you by the nose.
