If Gov. Sarah Palin, by John McCain's estimation, "knows more about energy than probably anyone in the United States of America," then why is she getting such basic facts about our nation's energy production wrong? Full Story

You're right. Let me be a 'winner' and vote for a muslim trained, American hating, communist leaning, socialist with funding from all our 'buddies' in the muslim countries.

Naw, I just don't hate America that much to do that. McCain-Palin.

No, what matters here is Palin. She is inexperienced.
Point: She says she has foreign policy experience.

I am sorry being able to see Russia, daily. Vacationing in Mexico and going to Kuwait ( which by the way she continuously confuses with Iraq) Is not foreign policy experience.

Point: She says energy is her strong point.

Ok I will give her the fact that Alska produces a lot of oil etc... But most of that is drilled for on federally owned land, by companies with federal contracts, so does she really have a lot of experience with energy?

Point: All she is talking about is spending, healthcare, tax cuts, bail outs, shore up the economy with federal funds etc...

Where exactly is this money going to come from? Even soccer moms know "you can't spend it, if you aint got it"

Ok I'll wrap this up. I can see Tennessee from my house, but I am not an expert on the state. I have vacationed in several foreign countries but I have no foreign policy experience. I go to the gas station a couple of times a week, but I am not overly versed in energy concerns.

Hey maybe some day, a senator from a failed political party will ak me to be his running mate.

You are all just haters! Obama's momma was a ho who got knocked up by a MARRIED man who'd impregnated many women in Africa...maybe we should elected all of them and combine their experience to match that of McCain. Just because you want a democrat to win doesn't mean you need to follow the lines when voting - Obama....Hmmm that names sounds familiar to me - terrorist for president who won't even salute the flag...what is wrong with all of you?!?!
You wanna talk about ho's.... How about Palins daughter and Palin herself ? Check out the polls for presidency among the servicemen and women of this country. A slight edge to Mccain... now what does that tell you ?

Oh, man, I'm just going to have to change my opinion and vote for a muslim-trained socialist who hates America, and is backed by most of the muslim world and communists all over....just makes sense...see democrats really know where the 'scandals' are.
What communist group is backing Obama? Can you name one?

Listen, words like "Muslim", "socialist" and "communist" ... they have meanings ... and they don't all mean the same thing (e.g. "people I don't like", "concepts I don't comprehend" or "ideas I'm scared of")... you really shouldn't be using vocabulary that you clearly don't understand.

Now run off and play ... the adults are having a conversation.

It happens everytime Halliburton is in charge of an emergency. Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld lead the charge and since they are bed with the Saudi princes, they always look at things with oil colored glasses. When are we going to realize that Halliburton is the reason ALL bad things happen in the United States? Please unite with me and lets once and for all abolish the corporate entity called Halliburton ...

Today we had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Canada and I gave thanks for Stephen Harper, our Prime Minister. It was agreed by all 18 guests at dinner that we'd rather be bored by our politicians than terrified by Mcain/Palin. The rhetoric spewed by "those two" and their supporters is shocking.

Ok I'll just go away because you say I should. Should I vote for muslim trained marxist leaning abortion pimping obama too? I guess I will, just because I'm an adult, and an Obama supporter, and I can close my ears and shut my eyes like the rest of em'.

Why don't you mind your own business. The US is having elections, mind you own .Here's a binky, now will you go pretend to be important somewhere else...

'Honey...Canada's on the phone...
'Who? Canada? tell em' I'm busy.'
'Honey...Canada says it's important..'
'What? tell Canada to stand for something, then I'll take the call..'

PALIN FALLS PREY TO FEY

Thanks to Tina Fey, Sarah Palin isn't just a target of jokes - she's been swift-butted out of the election.

Some political scientists contend that Fey's "Saturday Night Live" skewering of the Alaska governor is playing a major large role
in spoiling the McCain/Palin ticket.

"Presidential impersonators do influence elections, and in this one, Tina Fey is well on her way to ruining Sarah Palin's
political career permenently," said Jerald Podair, a professor of American Studies at Lawrence University.

"In a political culture that takes its cues from popular culture, a good impersonator may be worth a million votes," Podair said.

Not since Chevy Chase made many viewers perceive Gerald Ford as a clumsy stooge has a television impersonation been credited with
altering the political narrative to such a degree, said John Pitney Jr., a professor of American Politics at Claremont McKenna College.

"The parodies may have done a bit of damage. People remember Gerald Ford through the prism of Chevy Chase," he said.
"Ford was among our most athletic presidents, and he had a wide-ranging knowledge of public-policy issues. But because of 'SNL,'
many came to think of him as a buffoon just like sarah palin."

A recent Washington Times poll found that independent voters are crediting the "Tina Fey effect" with turning them off to the McCain
ticket.

But some experts agree that comedy sketches do change voters' minds.

"Jokes and impersonations only leave lasting damage if they resonate with existing narratives the voter internalized,"
said Dorothy James, a professor of Government at Connecticut College.

"Most people who strongly identify as Republicans have internalized the narrative that Gov. Palin is not a breath of fresh air, or a maverick but more like a sidekick. Tina Fey's impersonation only embarrasses the Republicans, and may not increase their support for Palin,"
James said.

"Those who strongly identify as Democrats have an alternative narrative - that she is grammatically chaotic, tied to party
of non talking points, ignorant and unprepared and incompetent. Fey's impersonation only reinforces existing attitudes there."
