Gve Berry credt, he worked real hard to convince Joetta the flashing light was necessary. You know the,$10,000 flashing light, at Armstrong Lane.
Has a certain ring to it, doesn't it.

Good job Berry!

Mt.Washington needs to return to a partison race as the county is. This would eliminate the family influnance. That is why Gentry and the all democrat council at that time rushed the nonpartision vote through. The council now brags how they were all elected for doing a good job. Since when lately has a democrat done a good job.
Eddie is right, their are a lot of good repubs' that would do a good job on Fiscal Court and the City Council. Watch closely who you vote for in November.

IF.......you have been a local for any length of time, you would know Barry lead the pack, which included Mayor Calhoun and Greg Gentry, to increase the Mayor's salary. What they based increasing the Mayor's and Council's pay on, was the city needed to recruit better candidates for Mayor and Council. They were really only developing a bigger pay for when they took over the Mayor's job. Joetta's "gravy train" is ending this year and Barry will take her place with Gentry to follow. They care nothing about promoting better candidates other than themselves.

Word to the wise, both Armstrong and Gentry have been or currently are bankers. That should answer any questions about dedication. Their only real dedication is increasing their pocket money at tax payers expense.

NO, locals will keep voting in their relatives, no matter how bad they get screwed ($200.00+ an hour salary, tax increases, wasting tax dollars, etc). Been doing it for 30+ years with Berry Armstrong, now they are working this continuation with Greg Gentry.
Like the old song, fools keep rushing in..........
Vote'um all out!

I personally think everybody should vote for business men and women and not bankers, lawyers, or teachers! Business people know how to work with in a budget and now how to run an organization. If they didn't they would be very good business people! Bankers us other people's money, lawyers are always trying to cheat the system, and teachers have never had to make payroll or run anything other than a class room. Business people are the only profession fit to run for council, run the city, or run the county!

Hey billy bob, having a hard time spending all that big (salary)money. Well a lot of tax payers are doing without necessities because of your greed. By the way council members, this include you.
sin, sin, sin
Billy Bob's not runnig for re-election but Armstrong, Gentry, Hockenbury and Troutman are still on the ticket running. Remember on Tuesday these same Council members are. Also remember they are feeding you the same bs they feed you before the prior election and look what they gave you. Higher taxes and raised their own salary every year since.

Suggest you don't vote for them, vote for the new candidates. Give the new candidates an opportunity to lead the city in the right direction.

Armstrong has been in office for 35+ years (what a joke), Houckenbury needs to stay at home (would get more accomplished there), Troutman is over the hill, too old to contribute and doesn't, and Gentry, the banker, that should tell you enough not to vote for him.
