Responsible gun ownership and use at it's best.

Why are progressives trying to ignore this story?

The fact is, this kind of thing happens every day. Guns in the hands of law abiding citizens (as well as cops) save lives every day.

It's time to protect our children in America's schools! It's time to for armed security (in regular clothes) in all of America's schools.

FORCE THE PROGRESSIVES TO PROTECT AMERICA'S CHILDREN. OUR CHILDREN ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE PROGRESSIVE AGENDA TO REPEAL THE 2nd Amendment! THE PROGRESSIVES ARE USING OUR CHILDREN - DELIBERATELY SACRIFICING THEIR LIVES FOR POLITICAL GAIN.

THE MID TERM ELECTIONS ARE COMING. IT'S TIME TO VOTE THE PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS OUT OF OFFICE!

This is what the 2nd Amendment is all about. Can you imagine how many people would be dead if they had waited for the police to arrive? We refuse to be a chalk mark on the floor. It is also why the progressives want to disarm us, so we cannot defend ourselves.

The bulk of all gun deaths each year arise from gun owners' own actions in their own homes with their own guns. This diner scenario, those school shooting scenarios or school shooting intervention (usually without a gun) scenarios are outliers...except in the sense that these shooters can so easily obtain guns from their parents or via a purchase without any background check at all.

Agreed. Better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.

Except the bulk of all gun deaths each year come from gun owners' own guns in their own homes via their own actions.

If you think that outcome is better than them wishing they had a gun, then fine. More likely you're just too stupid to understand the implication of the data.

Sure I understand. Maybe that is why I want you to buy a gun.

But I'm not a gun nut. You're barking up the wrong tree. Right wing gun kookkks are the operative demographic who are dying from guns, in the main (around 60% of all gun deaths each year...right int he home, via the gun owners' own actions.)

Your stated wish for me is having a rather negative effect on them and their families.

It is a vanishingly low percentage event to be in a restaurant and have it randomly fired into or held up with fatalities or invaded by a spree killer. OTOH, imagine all the scenarios of "armed citizenry" reacting when shots are fired somewhere - how often are they likely to misidentify what is going on or who is the threat or to simply miss their intended target? There's a genuine risk of that. Now factor in all the scenarios of "armed citizenry" when there is not shooting incident, namely "armed citizenry" when they have some road rage; when they get drunk at a bar and fight over a woman; think a black man on his own porch trying to jiggle the door key is a burglar; receive notice at work; get turned down for some benefit at the VA hospital; encounter a particularly obnoxious fan for the visiting team at the local, pro sporting event.

He can't, that's why he re-words a few things and changes his moniker so he looks of importance. It's the same tired, broken reel. He won't argue valid point as what he does use has been debunked over and over again.
