Full story: Free Republic

In the wake of the disastrous 2012 election results, there has been a lot of discussion on the right regarding the GOP's apparent 'message' problem.

Yes indeed...it was foolish and costly for Camp Romney to isolate those like President G. W. Bush and Governor Sarah Palin et al. And with Romney's 47% commit and the $10,000 bet with Governor Rick Perry it was obvious Mitt Romney had a foot-n-da-mouth problemo which the marxist media ran with. Obviously it's media filth who sets the standards for those they disdain all while giving self-serving scum like obama and his despicable voice-vote-voters a pass. It was anything they could find to exploit Mitt Romney all in an effort to make the self-serving marxist man-child b. h. obama look better by a whisker but that whisker is what they need to win.
Nonetheless, Mitt Romney would have made a very good President with a much needed economic and morale boast for America. But thanks to stupid politically inept history illiterate voters America's throat is under the foot of a communist-in-chief for 4 more years.

Romney simply wasn't real. Seemed very elitest, and couldn't relate to the American middle class. The republican values are still in play. They won't change because Mexicans vote now. The Romney ticket stunk. He was a bore. That's the problem. We didn't have a good choice. Their will come in time and Candidate, that Americans Republicans will be proud of and it won't be because of the Mexican voters. He will be likable and persuasive and The GOP will win.

Huh? New and improved I hope. What the frack can you do with a wiffle ball

I'm not a Democrat but when I see RepublicanS so called experts say things like Palin should run-wtf.

For a party that doesn't like big government and someONE running their lives why the rush to look for 'the one'.

They are like a baseball team that wants to hit homeruns only but that's why they've been striking out alot lately.

The Republicans' problem was NOT that they didn't get their message.

Voters understand exactly what Republicans want and believe in.

The majority rejected it.

Republicans didn't lose because of what they said; Repubioans lost because of what some of them (including who did lot of talking) ARE.

Palin?? Really? She quit being a politician and went Hollywood doing reality shows and made a fortune selling the Tea Party her books. She has no interest in going back into politics other than to get a big salary on Fox TV. You can't quit your job as a governor and then be a gov again or run for president. Life doesn't work like that. And why would you want to bring the dumbest person ever in to talk about what to whom?? She is really dumb and only out for big fast money. Her parents say she quit everything she ever tried. She is the last person who could ever bring people together. People resent her being so dumb and a quitter and the dumb Tea Party folks like her for being so dumb. She's the most polarizing person around. She rambles on Fox like she's insane.

If McCain had picked a different running mate he would have been sitting in the white house for the lase four years. Palin was the reason he lost! It is unthinkable that someone that stupid could be second to the president!

Palin was the first open sign of the flawed Republican thinking. And the GW adminstration was already an obvious & enormous failure. The party leadership saw the viewer response to the leggy female newies on Fox and thought that same strategy could work across the board on the national level not thinking that the cable news market is a niche market.

Republicans are looking for a wow factor and not substance or style.

Exactly. He should have picked Bobby Jindal. That would have given him a super smart, can do type of person who is also a minority. McCain was an honest man, whereas Romney just said anything to any group and flip flopped so much. It's too bad Bush got in rather than Gore. And it's too bad McCain didn't win rather than Obama.

You are so right. The problem was with both the message AND the messengers. If anyone thinks that Sarah Palin can make a difference to the Republicans for the better beyond 2012, then they obviously have failed to learn any lessons of value from the results of the presidential elections for both 2008 and 2012. John McCain was a poor presidential candidate in his own right, but while Palin's selection as his running mate energized the far right, it was disastrous in the general election. Willard Romney was even worse, and it's truly a disgrace that someone so out of touch in spite of running twice for the presidency came as close to winning as he did. The GOP message was clear from the time they started their nomination process to the very moment that Willard Romney lost the election. Fortunately, more Americans who voted rejected it than there were those who embraced it, and bringing Sarah Palin or GW Bush back into the picture in hopes of improving presidential fortunes in 2016 is not going to cut it.

Palin?
Well I guess she's cute and stuff....kinda like a slutty airline stewardess, but what about her political career?
Mayor in Alaska, Gov. in Alaska, and she quit that job 1/2 way in
and she was in a beauty pageent once.

And Barrack Obama is unqualified?

If you took all the votes palin got in her whole political career amd added them up it still would be less then Obama got in his re-election

She will never hold a national office.
