Our New York politcians are in the pockets of pharmaceuticle company like Connecticut based Purue pharmaceuticals maker of oxyotin..Look at al the monies purdue has donated to New York/law enforcement and patronaghe jobs for those connected....Now the politicians work for big pharmaceutcals and not the people/constituents they are suppose to represent

A major stumbling block to legalization is that there is currently no accurate field test to determine the content of THC in your system like the BAT for alcohol. Even if it was legalized for small amounts for possession and use,you could still be fired for having it in your system,on company time,on company premises at those companies that have a WRITTEN zero tolerance drug policy. A random pee test or a test after a workplace accident will put you out the door with a DRD(drug related dismissal) on your record.to follow you on your next job search. If you get pulled over by a traffic officer and he thinks or has probable cause you have been smoking, he can have you sent in for testing and charge you with DUI. If you're in an accident and the other guy is 100% at fault, you can be checked and charged with DUI AND contributory neglengence which puts you at partial fault. Hello high risk insurance rates if they don't cancel you . The state can pass laws but Federal law still classifys MJ as a CLASS I narcotic and Federal law still overrides state and local laws. Anytime/anywhere legal use is a long way off. Peace and Happy New Year!
