So sorry to hear no matter whether it is local or not, it just always makes you wonder if it is someone you know. Prayers for you and the victims family.

victim is from louisville, ohio - 24 years old. he is active and respected in his community. louisville is shocked and saddened by this senseless tragedy. on behalf of our fair city, thanks to all who send prayers. coincidentally the victims wifes' stepfather drowned in summersville lake 15 years ago,(diving?) from the same boat. the young couple were married last october.

no offense, but that is really inconsiderate to the friends and family. you might as well say oh well no sense in grieving its his fault anyway. I'm not trying to get into an argument with you but next time please choose your words more carefully. we've just lost a great friend and that comment didn't help anyone

Two dumbasses drown. A waste on society. Glad to hear it happened. Dumb things happen to dumb people. Sucks to be that family. Prayers to the family. LOL.
it's not funny. I don't know why you think it's funny to make jokes about someone's death. People are suffering because of this, and you think it's hilarious. Doesn't that strike you as a bit psychopathic?

Am I understanding that you are calling this victim a dumbass and that you are stating you are glad this happened? If that's the case you have no soul and for that I am sorry. The victim was a wonderful person and he has left behind many family and friends that will grieve for him for many years. He may not have been wearing a life jacket and if so this was indeed a grave mistake but that doesn't mean you should offend him. Obviously you have either never loved someone or you've never loss someone.

My prayers are for you, not the victims family as you are the one currently in need of it.

He was a very active volunteer within the community who loved and respected him. His loss will be felt far beyond the family circle and we wait with open arms to spread our love and support to the family when they return home this tragic accident.

Please overlook the idiot that made the snide remarks about your friend. No matter what the forum, he has to invade it and say mean and evil things. Just one of those topix trashers. Please accept our apologies for his behavior and sympathies and prayers to family and friends. So sorry this happened.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didnt mean to be inconsiderate and I am sorry it read that way. Just trying to emphasize the importance of water safety and wearing flotation devices. Again, I am sorry, please forgive me.

Knock it off! This is NOT the time or place for your filthy mouth. If you don't like what is being said, don't read it and most of all quit showing your ignorance. If you think you are being cute or macho, you are WRONG and you will answer for it! SHAME ON YOU!

Light and love to the family and friends who lost a loved one. I spread this love to the one who posts with such hatred and lack of empathy. Such tragedy you must have also had in your lifetime and lacked the support and love from others. Please feel free to continue and share your feelings so we can continue to send our love to you as well. May the angels surround you and protect you from this day forward so you too can begin to heal like so many others before you and those that will heal after you. I will continue to send loving energy your direction as well as to those experiencing a devastating loss of a family member and friend.
