The dreaded Monday morning commute into New York City two weeks after Superstorm Sandy was eased slightly by lighter holiday traffic, restoration of some train lines and a long-awaited opening of the final tunnel shut by historic flooding.

NY commuter train lines(LIRR, Path, Metro North)will never be easy. They all have square wheels.

I have a black and white dog named Obama. He crapped on my new Persian rug that I just had imported from Benghazi. He was mad because I ran out of his treats and hadn't gotten back from the store yet with his two favorites, Guinness and termites on a stick. After he realized what he had done, he tried to cover the mess up with his toys and a pillow and whatever he could find. But it still stunk to high heaven. Now there is nothing to do but uncover it, deal with it, and punish that bad dog. My house is painted White. I cannot allow him back in it after what he did. BAD DOG. Where's my newspaper?
