Having travelled home last night from Ascot, seeing the dozens of people who went to pay their respects, this young man was very much loved.

His sudden death is tragic, my thoughts are with all of you who knew and loved him.

I would never have thought in a billion years that Tom Martins death was suicide. He had the most amazing life with the most amazing friends and family, girlfriend and best friend. He was such a happy guy that never failed to put a grin on peoples faces. I wish i knew you more than i did, because from all the support and people who showed up last night at the racecourse proves what a lovely and fun loving guy you were to be around. You will never be forgotten and everyone will always be thinking of you. Rest In Peace you beautiful boy xxxxxxxxx
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Very tragic for all concerned. But please don't forget about the poor driver who now has to try and cope with this for the rest of his/her career (if they ever drive again).
Perhaps Tom's unnecessary death will help to stop others from taking risks (which include being so close to the edge of the platfom when the train is entering, the yellow lines do have a very necessary purpose.

What, if anything, can SWT do to prevent this happening again?

RIP Tom.

This is awful. Such a gorgeous, handsome, wonderful young man. Please let's learn from this. Don't try tricks on train tracks and don't let your friends do it either. God bless his lovely soul and so many wonderful thoughts and much love to his family. xx

I worked two trains into Ascot yesterday and I was deeply saddened to personally see so many of you taking the time and trouble to remember this young man in silence. Clearly he had many good friends and that is really all you can ask from life. My thoughts are with all you who are hurting badly at the moment.

Tom, you will be greatly missed. You had a huge amount of friends and a great family - they remember you fondly and I hope will get over thier shock in time as will the poor driver.

This is so sad, such a young and beautiful boy with the whole of his future ahead of him.

I wish his family my heartfelt condolences.

His school friends and friends should have wonderful memories to keep him alive in their hearts.

His girlfriend, you'll have memories no one else will have, hopefully they will keep you smiling when times are tough

Charters School is missing a wonderful young man.

Thoughts with all xx
