The urbanisation of Herston Fields will:
Remove one of the most frequently accesed areas for walkers in the district.
Probably provide 50 additional second homes in the area.
Reduce access to the countryside.
Spoil the local townscape.
Eliminate the circus from visiting.

DCC seem to be very precious about the old quarry sites by our recycling centre and yet are prepared to ruin good publically accesed fields.

Leave Herston Fields alone, and build new second homes on the existing HRC to pay for a new HRC. May have to get a mortgage to build new HRC first.

It seems to me that no matter what local opinions maybe that if our local authority want it they shall have it. It's a shame to spoil such a beautiful area for more housing and whatever else they deem the town needs. The town is in perfect proportion to the amount of residents and I can't see how over populating the area will sustain the town any further. Or maybe the LA just needs more revenue from council taxes. Who knows what goes through their minds. Leave the fields alone.
