Perhaps they should make young boys wear burka's too.

You people are being bigoted by assuming this man committed a crime. In Islam, the buggery of young boys is not frowned upon. It is encouraged. This man was simply being pious.

This crime doesn't surprise me. Muhammad himself raped a nine year old girl (Aisha).

Yes, pretty much. Except the Catholics have dispensed with the nastiness of stonings, beheadings, "honor" killings, car bombings, suicide vests, IED's, cartoon riots, "fatwas"....well, you get the idea.

And how did you come up with that one?

Or were you thinking about ancient Greece?

No, Steve, I wasn't thinking of the Greeks...but that's funny. I was thinking specifically of the Pashtun tradition of demonstrating status by way of keeping harems of pre-adolescent "dancing boys" for amusement and sexual gratification. Meanwhile, back at the tent, they keep their wives in sacks and whip them with broken fan belts for laughing. Hey, you don't have a brother named Nidal, do you?

No brothers, two sisters though.

I can say I have never heard of this "tradition" you speak of, so will not say it is beyond the realm of posibility (tribal folks have some strange ways much like our hill billies do).

In Kandahar, population about 500,000, and other towns, dance parties are a popular, often weekly, pastime. Young boys dress up as girls, wearing makeup and bells on their feet, and dance for a dozen or more leering middle-aged men who throw money at them and then take them home. A recent State Department report called “dancing boys” a “widespread, culturally sanctioned form of male rape.”
