I've suffered from repeated bouts of sinus infections for years, especially during the dry Fall & Winter months. An EN&T specialist had me use Q-tips to swab bactroban ointment into my nose 2x per day for 5 to 7 days until the infection is cleared up. Though this is rather unpleasant,it does seem to clear up the infection for a while (several weeks to a month or so) until it comes back. Also using a saline spray helps to keep my sinuses moist, which also helps to ward off the infections, but not completely. Unfortunately, there's no permanent 'cure' for this for me! Bummer!

I get sinus infections at least once a year. The antibodic that the Doc gives me relieves the symptoms in 5 days or so. So much for that study. Go back to the drawing boards Docs.

A little of topic, Another study said that sugar does not cause hyperactivity in kids. My daughter was being treaded for hyperactivity. We notice when she had any sweets she would be bouncing off the walls. We told the Doc this, and he stated that all the studies he has read said sugar does not make a kid hyper. We feed my daughter a chocolate bar. Waited about 15 minutes and she went hyper right in front of the Doc.
