Symmetry Medical's stock falls as audit begins

Warsaw orthopedic device supplier Symmetry Medical's stock fell today after it disclosed it has begun to audit its business in Sheffield, United Kingdom, for financial irregularities.

Medical law suits have made orthopeadic implants espensive. Medical facilities are going broke just providing basic pain and trauma repairing procedures. I am unfamiliar with this company but work with metal implants. The insurance most times does not even cover the cost of the implants.

I spent most of the 4 years warning people that Richard Senior was sub standard material, He used a lot of company resources giving management positions to rugby players so they would play for his team. Pre-booking, failure to pay wages correctly, threats of sack, pay cut, violence etc. were all too common. Not surprised by what's taken place, only surprised it took so long for people to catch up.

I have worked hear for a number of years more than I care to remember.I speak from my heart and care like number of my colleagues.
You can cut cost, you can make redundancies, but you need to give people a lift so we know we can move forward with change and hope.We need leader ship at the coal face we need to see a mid field general and Corry is a waste of space and we all know it when is he going to go because until he has gone the company and its work force will not row in the same direction.We need change leadership and help now.Give us hope,to change and a future.From someone who cares and knows.

I think Mark Corry has always been an idiot. He got his position by smoking Mr Senior. He is as thick as 2 short planks, has no personality & is the ugliest person i have ever met. In my time at Symertry I came to detest him for his incompetence. I always saw him more of a grave digger type. Or even running an ice cream van in a cemetry in the middle of the night. If he had a personal fan club there would no one in it Not even him, he doesn't even like himself.

So Mr Corry has left the company, this could have happened many many years ago if the employees had stood firm against the ever unpopular Senior and co and pushed for union recognition, At least Senior did something for the company, unlike the fore mentioned, as for the Press shop comment above, to whom are they referring, not me I hope, lets name names and not be spineless!

The company has moved forward over the years and created wealth for many sustainable jobs and many families have benefited.
The company has done alot and Senior built the majority.
Think what it was like 25 years ago and 15 years ago.
Many have enjoed there life outside work and we have made that company by hard work and still are putting in the effort.

what a load of bull on this page, ive been there 20 years and earnt good money by working hard, and also lost good money by still working hard and having to watch as others have their fingers in the pot that i helped build. there seems to be a lot of people who live in every corner of the country that have worked at thorntons!!! why comment and then say im from bristol or manchester?, whats that all about? spineless?those who have worked for thorntons in the last 20 years know what went off but lived in fear of losing jobs if they said anything. things are not much better now, management maybe a little better but also people either being promoted to positions they are no good at or people deciding they are now in charge and getting away with it. there is also your little clicks of people who are now in because of who is in charge, but ive been here a long time and have seen these people come and go all the time, all the best to you because you know who you are!!!!!!
