Unfortunatley he lost his oldest son some yars ago which was a tragedy for him but even after all he has gone through he is one of the most gentlest souls I know. I will pass on your message to him. I do recall the otehr names you mentioned but have no idea where they are

Hi Mary, there were kids running away all the time so not sure who you mean. I remember some of the older girls who were 'bold' and would push their luck with the nuns... then i got older and 'bold' too. LOL I remember Ann Kelly, Helen McGuinness, the Sutherlands. My best friends wer Joan Massari, Alice Hillhouse and Sandra McCrae. Never knew what happened to them, one day they were there and the next they left, we never asked questions.

I see that a lot of the abuse of the elderly in care homes is done by immigrants, many illegal, mostly from Africa.

My brother & I were children in Nazareth House in Lasswade in Scotland about 35 years ago & although I never experienced any kind of physical abuse my brother did, I remember clearly he being beaten on two separate occasions by nuns and I know this because I was brought to stand outside his room to hear, i think this was to serve as a warning.
I have a deep rooted hatred & fear of nuns that stems from here. |

I am 30 and lived in Nazereth House BELFAST I remember the nuns, the pain, but my memory wont allow me to let it out maybe because I was too young I know ofthe cruelty and cant and wont forgive the sisters of sin. It's knocked down now paper work destroyed along with the innocence of many. Too many even today are being abused, in childrens homes and there is more in care today, morals have gone and I wish they were all closed forever

Nuns are evil and til the day I die I will wear a hatred on my soul for what they have done, and got away with, joining their hands they choked out the childhood of so many and they pray for our sins. They are sick and may they all burn in hell together with the social workers and bosses who knew what was going on

Has anyone ever come into contact with Theresa Donaghey? She was possibly in Cardonald Nazareth House in the 1930's. We have only just discovered this and we would really know what has become of her and if she is still alive.

Where is your evidence , you need to back this statement up . |

my mother margaret chambers was in Nazareth House childrens home Belfast in 1927 - 1937 approx ten
years she is now 86yrs and has only just started to talk about being in NH. Her two brothers george and thomas were in the boys home. I have got the names to two nuns and one priest who were there at the time. My mother remembers some of the girls names who were also there at the same time. How do I go about claiming compensation for her. |
