I object to paying for breakfast clubs,
Its parents responsibilty to provide breakfasts not my taxes!
Im paying nearly 1000pound for libraries, binmen and keeping streets clean etc and i dont see why i should pay for lazy parents who cant be bothered to feed there kids!
If they dont feed them then social services should investigate why!
As far as im concerned well done linda keep up the good work!

free breakfast clubs are stopped for the working parent but my school in howdon is still having this club but the working parent has to pay for this as per usual but if you are on income support this is free is a damn disgrace as if you are on income support its cause you are not working so kids should not be in school that time anyway its a disgrace and once again hits the pocket of the working parent AGAIN....

I'm with Shaun on this one, why on earth should I be footing the bill for some kid to have a breakfast when their own sodding parent should fund it and bleedin' well make it. What has gone wrong with this bloody country?? Mass charverdom that's what.
Yes free school dinners for poorer kids but breakfast!
Linda Arkley (Conservative) lives 0.5 mile away from me, I'm glad she's took this stance even if it makes her unpopular. If unemployed people stopped knocking kids out when they have no prospect of work (or rather no intention of working morelike) don't have children. SIMPLE.

Why punish the children for God's sake ?
By all means attack the parents - some don't even deserve to be called scum, they're worse than that

Why do we fund univited immigrants ? Why do we allow right-on p[olitically correct council "workers" to get the mates, girlfriends unnecessary jobs (I bet you Linda is as guilty in this, too)
All THAT should be stopped, not the one decent meal for some of our worst-treated own kids
Shaun and Jules should be ashamed of themselves - talk about "I'm all right Jack" I'm doing perfectly fine. Many bloody well AREN'T and kids can fend for them, selves least of all. What the hell do you want some of them to do then ?
Go through the bins ?

So basically kids of people on benefits get free lunches while working parents have to pay-
But parents who choose to work for a living and have to drop their kids off at school a little earlier (to enable them to get to work) shouldn't expect that a small amount of the tax they pay should go on a couple of slices of toast or some for their child???

Yeah, that's fair! Ha!

There's nothing wrong with my grammar, thank you very much.

How childish are you! Having to resort to name calling.

What a pleasant person you must be.
I made my point and this is the last reply you'll get from me.
Grow up.

Oh, and I'm most certainly NOT a Chav. I'm a hard working, married mother of one.

Looking at this reply, you clearly have very little in the way of intelligence.
Run off and look after your kid little miss and I'll keep on with the live gigs this afternoon at the club

Very little in the way of intelligence?
Hmm, yes I can see how you would make that judgement?
Yes, I will look after my child, go to work, support my family!
Why make me the enemy here when the whole issue is about people who scrounge from the government.

you go off and do your live 'gigs', I wonder... If you get paid for such gigs do you declare that income to the tax man? Probably not
