Oh No. She's from out of town. Out of the country even. What is the world coming to? We can't even find a local to be the president of the Environmental Center. Its another conspiracy. I'm certain of it.

At least she is better looking than that horse faced Judy Bari. I hope she shaves her armpits and not braid them like Bari did. God help us if she is anything like Bari, our budget in the City or County can not sustain putting up with the idiots of the 80's and 90's.

Looks have nothing to do with it Mr. Eyes. Bari probably braided her armpits just to piss off people like you. She helped save a lot of redwoods, and slowed the cut and run pace a bit. She could be abrasive but also humorous and effective. Some of the loggers even respected her. You are off base with your harsh assessment.

Nobody respected that smelly piece of human debris, especially loggers. If she cared so much about the redwoods, why did she live in a house that was almost made of 100% redwood? She was a leach, and a terrorist. And, I'm not off base with my harsh assessment, she earned it. So, little girl "Bug Off", you can kiss off.

I know quite a few people who respected her, including one old time family logger. She care very much about forestry issues. Lots of people live in recycled redwood houses. She was not a terrorist but would get in your face about timber issues. Not saying you, but some people just don't like women with strong opinions.

The timber wars where hard on this county and the whole Northcoast. It will take and is taking time to heal thoses wounds. It hit home to many of us and had great effects on us. This organization through all this did gain much respect in the community. It has been a great resource in providing a veiw on issues related to our county. Happy to see the organzation is back on its feet again with new directions.

I guess my Bug Eyes saw her differently than others. I experienced her lies and her house was not recycled, it just looked like it because of her very poor housekeeping skills, oink oink.

This place has done more damage to this county than any logging outfit ever did.

She and Daryl Cherney spiked trees, which almost killed a Cloverdale millworker in the 80's. I agree with your assessment...dope smoking probably was responsible for her cancer.

The good thing is, the enviro center matters not, just like Judi and the rest of them, unless you are bothered by enviros making a living at their trade.

My understanding is that spike in particular was placed not by any environmental activist, but by a property owner whose land had been poached repeatedly.

Do you have any proof? Earth First bragged about "monkeywrenching". Their founder, David Foreman, even wrote a book about it. It was common practice for their members to spike redwood trees. Sounds real environmentalist...spiking a tree, and injuring innocent people.

She and Cherney did NOT spike trees. The Cloverdale millworker was injured from a tree from a disgruntled landowner. Do the basic research, don't just spout old rumors from the past. As far as dope smoking causing her cancer, have you seen her med records?

What does this have to do with the present or the future? Let the woman rest in peace.

She has been recognized for her accomplishments by Senators, the women of this community, and people around the world.

Your remarks diminish you NOT Judi Bari.

And don't forget that Judi came from a labor background. She was outspoken in her defense of loggers as labor, as opposed to the big timber companies who ripped off their workers and the environment.

Blessed be.

As a real union member, the only union Judy was a member of was probably the Symbionese Liberation Army, and maybe she counted buying gas for her 'ol Subaru at Union 76 as membership. She was a stoner sham dog-and-pony show with that lamo, Daryl Cherney. They both could have benefited from voice and music lessons...so glad I wear hearing aids...anytime the Hamburg Raging Grannies show up and protest at a meeting, I just turn them off.
