Man Jailed For Wearing Police Deaths T-Shirt

Barry Thew scrawled his offensive message over a white T-shirt just hours after the killing of PCs Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone.

"He was sentenced to four months in jail and received an additional four months after he admitted breaching the terms of a previous suspended jail term."

The only problem I have with this is the speed at which it happened and the length of sentence.

If someone had been just as abusive about a subject that had nothing to do with the police, they still wouldn't have been arrested and when they did get sentenceed they wouldn't get 8 months.

The police should never get preferential treatment from the judicial system.

In America, you would not be prosecuted for something like this because of our sacred freedom of expression provision guaranteed by our Constitution. However, any self-respecting American police force would have exercised their right of expression by beating this punk half to death and leaving him lying in an alley.

One thing that shines through every day is the low life scum calling Police control rooms because they have someone at their door threatening them, or their ex-boyfriend is shouting and screaming at them, or multi other reasons.
