A cash-strapped council has been accused of recreating wartime blackouts after switching off most of its streetlights during the night.

Lights, my calcalations, see what you think, current bill 500k, they want to save the potential increase of 175k, by switching 2 out of 3 lights off, then they will save 66% so they will be in surplus of around 150k.
