Council turns off Two Thirds of its street lamps to save 200,000 a year on power bills

A cash-strapped council has been accused of recreating wartime blackouts after switching off most of its streetlights during the night.
Lights, my calcalations, see what you think, current bill £500k, they want to save the potential increase of £175k, by switching 2 out of 3 lights off, then they will save 66% so they will be in surplus of around £150k.
