Unless someone is on Medicaid (MassHealth) or one of the state-sponsored plans, the state has nothing at all to do with reimbursement of doctors. The majority of people are not on those plans, with most having either private insurance or Medicare.
We need a national single-payer healthcare system with fair reimbursements for all doctors (surgeons suffer nowhere near as much as primary care doctors, for instance).
Trying to make this about "taxes and fees" makes no sense at all. We need healthcare reform, and we need it now.

Completely agree! Also, the paper is invited to the other hospital in the area in the future. Leominster Hospital isnt the only one in the area with Surgeons or Physicians. You are welcome at Nashoba Valley Medical Center anytime.
