As a service to anyone too lazy to read this entire editorial, I hereby present it in compressed form for your enjoyment.
People have fights. This never happened before YouTube existed!

But if we just keep videos like this hidden, violence will go away.

That's right, video technology causes violence. Like tv news and the internets, which both predate human violence.

People who videotape violence aren't sources of evidence, they're criminals!

Prisons give people "perspective," and that's why we think everyone should go to them forever.
The end.

That's right, let's keep this kind of stuff secret. After all, what we don't know won't hurt us, will it? Isn't this what Nazi Germany did? What the Soviet Union did? What China now does? If the Holden incident wasn't taped, would we know who the bullies were, or even that the attack happened? Maybe the You Tube stuff gives some folks a high, but to most of us it makes us more aware of what's going on with our children, and we don't like it.

I say - keep 'em coming. What kind of evidence is better than a video tape? If morons want to be on TV for being violent - they WILL be caught and WILL go to jail.

Idiots like this will get in fights either way - but them wanting to be famous will just lead to more arrests.

Keep using your cell phones and cameras kids! You also probably want to tape yourself shoplifting, drinking and doing drugs.

It will probably save time for you...I mean you won't have to go through a trail because honestly...how can you plead innocent when your idiot mug is right there on camera, committing crimes?

MORONS.

Never mind banning the recording of the fights' that is good evidence in a cout ofr law, just wonder though, all these kids had a phone in their little hands to film it, how many used the same device to call the police ??

Hmm, well this Ed-Op was wildly asinine.

Removing these videos from the internet will accomplish nothing. If anything, it will prevent the justice system from giving the guilty what they deserve. Kids won't stop beating each other up just because the beating won't be seen on YouTube. A vicious beating without a video camera present is still a vicious beating, yes? If you think kids are going out of their way to beat up kids just so they can upload videos to YouTube, you're dead wrong. And although what was done (or wasn't done) is insanely immoral, one cannot put someone in jail for not breaking up a fight or calling the cops. This isn't the final episode of Seinfeld.
