i can't see why he was given the Bond part, as Fleming wanted David Niven or Noel Coward to play Bond. This is what the real MI6 and MI5 chaps were like - upper class public schoolboy types and mostly bent as well. I think Larry Grayson would have made a good Bond. For real-life secret agents, see Anthony Blunt and Burgess. hello Sailor!
