I have lived in (owned a home in) Webster for 7 years. I knew when I bought the house that the area was problematic with mostly low income families. It is really the children that suffer. I have two girls (one 14 and one 6) that do not feel safe in our own neighborhood. What a shame the derilics, alcoholics, and drug addicts are allowed to thrive while honest men and women struggle to raise our families. We sit in our front yard and watch the drunks walk/stagger from one bar to the next. They are loud and inappropriate at best. I have called the Webster police dept on more then one occasion and have been less then impressed with their response. The city of Webster will not improve until they improve the police department and the corrupt city officials that harrass the home owners. By the way, I live less then a block from the corner of Lake and Granite. Every evening you can drive by and see the druggies and drunks in the parking lot. Why is it so hard to clean up an area that is so well known for crime?????

I have to agree with you. I have also lived in Webster for about 8 years. I live on Lake Street at the other end, near the credit union. The corner of Lake and Granite has been a troubled area since we moved here and you would think that someone would be able to do something about it. At least these arrests are a good start. I do have to say though that my family have always felt pretty safe where we are, there's only been a couple of minor incidents at our end of the street. |

there is a solution to the problem and its easy, Its called foot patrol. One officer walking up and down the street would turn the whole area down there back to were it should be. SAFE
