i was born and lived in belcoo railway station my father was the station master there as far as i can remenber i think we moved from there to whitehead i think it was about 1958 i think mairead o dolan and her family possibly moved in there round about then is there an e mail address for mairead so as i can get in touch thank you robert monahan

This is very interesting, I used to know an Irishman who was a neighbor for many years (near Denbigh in North Wales) until his death in 1991 at the age of 71, his name was Butterfield, he mentioned that he used to stay with his Uncle at Belcoo station when he was a lad. it may well have been in the early thirties! he would have possibly been living in Howarth in Dublin at that time. I've no idea what his uncles name is.
