i had a car crash on may25th 2009, i snapped my femur and had to have an emergency operation where they inserted a metal rod right through the femur bone and attached it with two screws, one at the top and one directly in my knee.
now i have started to get my life back on track, 3 months later, walking, working, going to college and hitting the gym twice a week when suddenly my hyp gives me shooting pain in the middle of college corridor randomly and there is a grinding, rubing sensation at the top of my femur, i called my boss to say i was going to hospital as was in severe pain and was only my first week of the job then she fires me because i am now short of hours for my contract, i think this is very rude and dissapointing because im trying my hardest to work.
anyway back to the story, i went to hospital and they said they will take hte pins out in a few months when the bone is fully healed so i wanted to ask hwo the healing would be like after the pins are taken out? will i have to learn how to walk all over again? will the scars be worse? and most importantly what are the side effects?
would love to hear back from someone, i am only seventeen and really scared i may never get a job due to the random pain i get which changed my daily plans and commitments.
thanks
