Probably not and good luck with that...seek out medical help or techical assistance if it persists.

Another concern that I have is that this eruption is going to cause some cooling effect like Mount Pinatubo did. The only difference is, we're moving into a cyclical period of the sun where less sun spots and solar solar storms mean cooler weather here on earth. England had record snow fall last year and China had the coldest winter in 100 years the year before that, this can be attributed to solar activity diminishing on the sun. Combine it with some volcanic activity and before you know it, there's a little ice age.

I am worried I will not be able to find any foreign grown, air-miles fruit and veg when I go to panic buy at Tesco tomorrow. Greenpeace must be laughing their heads off at this. As Iceland is run by a transvestite I think s/he should help out and give that unruly volcano a good handbagging.

this dust is harmless. We warmies know that only man-made pollution is harmful. Things like volcanoes and tsunamis cannot hurt you, unless they were started by George Bush , like the racist Haiti earthquake.

this volcano is going to poop on the warmies.

My predition to my wife is that we should take advantage of sporting good sales now and purchase, snow shoes and new cross country ski gear, plus emergency clothing for the possiblity that our heat may be shut off at any time during the next year due to national emergency due to whatever. If this volcano continues to erupt and its big brother kicks in, get ready for the double whammy of the thousand years.

Evidently, my last name is of English ancestry. However, my Mom's parents are German and my old man claims sweedish, irish and belgian mix as well, so it must have been a hell of party. Regarldless, I'm US born and raised. Lived on the east coast, from Maine to Florida and then the midwest such as Duluth, Green Bay, Milwaukee/Madison area.

What about yourself, where are you from and did you move a lot, I like to know where people are from. The other day I startled my waitress by asking her if she was from Belarus and I nailed it right the head.

That volcanic ash is harmful stuff, it'll wreck your car's paint job and engine if you're not carefull.

Is your government suggesting any means with which you can protect your throat and lungs from the ash?

From Birmingham in the UK, British ancestry with some Irish in there about 50 years back, but before then i could have been either roman or saxon haha!
The government has done nothing about the ash, in fact they have re opened the fly ways for the planes! personally i think its due to the stress of the amount of money they are loosing per day, they don't give a fuck about safety, just their precious money!

id like them to issue a good health strategy for the general public, i know of numerous people who have come down with horrible chest infections and sore throats, and nearly every car ive seen is covered in the dust.

I saw where the CEO of IATA, the international air transport association had said that he thinks that airlines and governments are proceeding with haste in dangerous times over in that region.

I can also see where the pressure is comming from in an industry that is hard hit by the global economic recession, but I also hope that no one is hurt by dangerous flying. Article on IATA CEO's statemnts regarding the costs affiliated with the current European air crisis:

http://aviationblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2...

The International Air Transport Association is now putting the volcano-related losses at $1.7 billion on revenues, an unknown amount for extra expenses.

From Saturday through Monday, carriers lost $400 million a day in revenues, or $1.2 billion, IATA estimates.

Speaking of the impact of the volcano, Bisignani (IATA CEO) said:

"At the worst, the crisis impacted 29 percent of global aviation and affected 1.2 million passengers a day. The scale of the crisis eclipsed 9/11 when US airspace was closed for three days."
