The family of a 17-year-old who died after the car he was travelling in left the road and collided with trees say he was a "loving, gentle young man". James Coates, of Rhoose, Vale of Glamorgan, died at the scene of the crash on the B4265 between Llantwit Major and St Athan early on Saturday.

This is so very very sad...a member of my family witnessed this same car on 2 seperate occasions speeding like crazy near Llantwit major on that very same day...and now a young man has lost his life. There are lessons to be learned here for those lucky young men who survived.
