Tesco eyes up Chertsey site for next Express store

London Investment Limited, which owns the proposed site in Eastworth Road, has applied to open a convenience store on the ground floor of the three-storey building.

Who wants another Tesco store, I most certainly do not especially as we already have 2 supermarkets. It will also be a further blight on traffic on Eastworth Road, with the cavalier way most supermarket delivery drivers park with no thought to other road users.

I am presuming that this is for the buildings from no 89 onwards (ie the Surrey Herald offices)

I trust the local council will be informing the residents of Eastworth Road, when it comes before the council planning committee.
