Rotherham Council are wanting to take green belt land
at Rawmarsh, Greasborough & surrounding areas.
The green belt they are wanting to take for housing is the size of 400 football pitches, they are wanting to build 3,500 houses.
Why are they wanting to take this vast amount of green belt land when there is enough brown land to build on.
The farmers on this land have stewardships with Natural England. There is the wildlife some protected on this land that did not come over night, if Rotherham Councils go through with their plans it will go over night and be lost forever, the next generations will loose out.It will be a urban sprawl by connecting Rawmarsh,Greasborough & other surrounding areas, we all know what happens then with extra large housing estate,it has been a mistake in the past.Rotherham Council should spread it out over the borough on the brown sites.
