WANSBECK MP Ian Lavery has been forced to resign as a Parliamentary aide to Labour's deputy leader after fighting to protect prison staff pensions.

It's an absolute discrace to be forced to resign for standing up and speaking out on something that you feel is wrong. Mr Lavery you have my full support and respect from me and my colleges in the POA.
