I have been involved in this scam and on the face of it all employees on Silver Sands say that they had no idea what was going on including manager Mark Finnie. However, Neale Rothera who has been questionned and allegedly selling caravans without legal rights too did so in front of staff at Silversands so tell me how could they not know when caravans were being sold right under their noses or in their presence especially when they already knew many of the rightful owners personally, the whole park should be shut down and everybody should be questionned. In the two vans that I bought there were at least another 6 employees spoke to me and knew everything about my sale. Apalling really?

Hi there I am also mixed up in the mess of Silver Sands and I fully agree with your views on the other staff around the park. How is it possible that the staff did not know what was going on? I also agree that the park should be closed until the mess is resolved. You name the Park Manager in your comment and in my experience he knew everything about every van on the site... yet when I questioned him he denied all knowledge of anything, despite the fact he had been working so closely with Neale over the past year. Oh and did you happen to notice he is driving round in a 2009 registered brand new sparkley pick up truck? Certainly begs the question eh?

I heard there is going to be a meeting at Lossie Town hall on Thursday evening with the directors and the disgruntled owners... keep your eye on the P and J for details, I think it is also going to be advertised on the radio.

It is good to hear that although none of us wanted to be in this position, there is consolation that we are not alone!! We should all keep each other posted on our different progress, as time goes on the extent of the damage should be revealed? Remember what goes around comes around!!

What goes around comes around,I sure hope so! I had my meeting with the directors the other day and I came out devastated as I felt really bullied by one of them in particular. I spent the weekend worrying and really upset about the whole thing.

I would give you my email address to keep in touch, but I am not happy to put it up on a public forum under these circumstances. I am also worried about what we write on here as I am aware that one of them is a solicitor and I am concerned anything we say may be twisted and used against us, quite similar to how I felt after my "individual meeting"

I wish I had never ever ever stepped foot in the place EVER!:-(

I absolutely agree with everything you have said. I have now had two meetings with the directors and I know exactly which one you are referring when you say you felt bullied, I quite agree. I have had two meetings, none of them which I felt went well, they say they want to be fair but the reality is they are not prepared to take any loss even though Neale was their employee at the time and albeit committing fraud but he was still employed and no one is taking responsibility for that except us. One of our caravans is dubious and the second they were undercut and not prepared to allow the van which is even legally ours!!!!!! We are like so many in limbo while I gather Neale is travelling in a 09 plate jeep. Great for some, hang in there!!

My van which also is legally mine is left standing now until they investigate which could be a minimum of 4 weeks one other couple have been told even though they bought it, it is not theirs and we are just waiting until the 3rd owner comes forward! It's just so annoying! You are right about them not willing to take any loss whatsoever, they re also not willing to take an responsibility for it either.

As far as I'm concerned they have not managed the park for a year or so and they should really hold their hands up and take responsibility for the complete LACK of management and manager. It's bloody disgusting! I am not going to talk to them again only via a solicitor which I really cannot afford :-(

It was another member of staff driving the 09 Jeep the apparently oblivious one you mentioned in the first post lol I haven't seen Neale which is a good thing, I hope I never lay eyes on that little man again! Although I hear they are still out and about round the town, some bloody neck they have!

When did you buy your caravans and when did all this start? I have family and friends involved in the park aswell and they are worried.Who would have thought that any of this would happen in such a small place. Do no other staff no what has gone on? Are all the staff still working there? I am surprised it hasnt been shut down. I hope everything works out for you all.

Hi there,

Once again there is turbulence, some weeks ago when the director first got here, initially on the face of it they said both vans were mine they could see the transactions, last week though they said one of the transactions was not there and they even had another book which I had not seen before. Personally, I am going to see CID and ask them who is investigating or overseeing what the directors are doing now, are they to be trusted?????

That is bad news! I think that is shocking that the transactions they could once see are now not there, certainly sounds iffy if you ask me. I have to wait next week for a response from them, it would be interesting to see if the transaction is still recognised.

In my meeting they had the stock check list and they said 'oh yes your caravan is there' and we had to point out that it actually wasn't there and it had been moved across the site at least a month prior to this all kicking off, so even the stock check procedure appears flawed. I think you are right and they should be monitored by somebody official and I feel you are also right in being cautious who you trust!

I will keep this site posted with the updates on my circumstances, our solicitor seems to think we have a good case but I haven't got that kind of cash to fight it. I had my 20 mins free time now its gonna cost :-(

Yes, and I will keep you posted with any updates that I may have, this is certainly awful stuff. I also find it hard because Neale and his partner who have caused this harm are still free to walk about as they please, albeit only for now but still there just feels no justice:(

Hi everyone,
Neale, his partner and several members of staff knew exactly what was going on. The reasons Neale has given for the "fraud" are a heap of rubbish. The fact is the directors did not manage the site, although they had a manager (mark) on site, they did not take appropriate action to check the running of the site on a regular basis. Neale told me he was manager and acted like he was manager. Why did mark the actual manager allow this.
In my opinion they are corrupt!! Close the site pending investigation then reopen with peopler staff and proper rules. If it's closed it might get the case solved quicker instead of the year timeline that has been quoted!

Hi there Tom,

Maybe they are gypsys but that does not excuse the devastation that they have left families to deal with. My mother was going to be living in one that I bought and she is now in hospital after suffering a nervous breakdown because of this and is now having to apply to be homeless at 57!!
They are ignorant, refuse to speak to people because they are as bad as Neale or worse because they blame the whole wrap on him when they were there at the start. They should all be prosecuted, and never allowed to trade again EVER!!

Hi there angry lady,

Been a wee while since we last saw each other posting, and just like you I have had no success, Grant Kerr now acting manager is also as bad, gave me assurances he would speak to the directors because my mother was so anxious and DID HE, I doubt it, and it continues on. I wish you all the luck in the world because I tell you this will not end for some time.

They are not gyps, Neale was letting rumoured to be letting a few stay for next to/or nothing, maybe he was hoping they`d back him, One worked in the bar, he was fleeced too. Then the safe was stolen with a full weeks takings. I wonder who could have done such a thing!
Neale was rumoured to be one of the directors gardeners b4 ss sands.
The only directors left are johar & gelani. have been charged 2day, all of them r involved in my opinion, google "ladybrook" park. you`ll see.
I wish all of you a good outcome.

Hi lulu,

I cant find the ladybrook park when I google, let me know what to look for specifically please. As an update Neale, Shona and another male appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday in private probably on petition for plea, oh how I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that. Please think of me today Angry Lady as I have yet another meeting with Grant Kerr regarding one of the vans before we launch a legal action against the directors.
