This is the price NY pays for living in a single Party Dictatorship. Democratic DC politicians, a Democrat President, a Democrat Governor..........and no one in th media even cares as their primary mission is making Lord Obama look competent.

Luckily, NY is only a Blue State so no one expects any more from "Their guys".

I agree. The current mess can be traced to wealthy politicians who enjoy "playing politics" in order to impose their latest politically correct agenda. It shows a lack of planning. Rather than spending their time - as well as hard earned taxpayer money - planning for periodical severe storms that are KNOWN to hit the east coast, they enjoy conducting "photo shoots" where they tell of the latest developments of their "take no prisoner" wars against overburdened ordinary worker ("middle") class taxpayers who pay their salaries, as well as the cost of their folly. One needs only mention a few of these ongoing wars for illustrative purposes.

For example, there is the war against soda pop drinkers - including little children - the war against worker ("middle") class diners who cannot afford to dine in expensive NY restaurants alongside the wealthy political ruling class, but who season their foul tasting Government developed and "approved" Frankinfoods with salt, The shameful war against peaceful entrepreneurial upstate Indians who sell gasoline and tobacco products to worker ("middle") class White women and men for LESS! and the developing war against the hated toilet paper users.

Despite what the Government licensed "news" media would have us believe - for purposes of generating sensationalist associated increased advertising rates - severe storms regularly hit the northeast. Here is a link to a web site that depicts photos showing the aftermath of severe storms in pre-politically correct days when politicians planned for disaster rather, than using hard earned taxpayer money to fritter away their time on nonsensical matters.
