This scheme was first proposed over 10 years ago, and there remsains strong opposition to it on environmental and cost grounds. How much public money has been spent on it so far? By my reckong around 1m and rising! Isn't it time to drop it and consign what was a bad idea in 2002, and a bad idea now, to history!
