Intel claims Haswell will offer 50 per cent more battery life in laptops

Intel's upcoming family of Core processors, code-named Haswell, will offer 50 per cent more battery life in laptops than did their Ivy Bridge predecessors, according to the company.

battery life depends on laptop's specs - for instance amd's radeon gpus tend to consume less power than rival nvidia's - so all must be taken into consideration to calculate battery life, not just the cpu. but i like intel's atom processor which lives up to its promises, at least on my 4 years old netbook

if intel wants to focus on battery life, i think it should stay away from anything android :)
