"A senior Foreign Ministry official said of the visit, "To put it simply, Abe's foreign policy consists of visiting countries that dislike China but have affinity with Japan."

However, Abe also wants to hold summit talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the near future. He ultimately aims to urge Beijing to improve its relations with Tokyo after strengthening Japan's position by forming a coalition of countries against China. "

This is wasabi foreign policy bound to fail.

The person who advised Abe about this should be fired.

from yomiuri shinbun:

"But at that time, China under the Qing dynasty had some of the most powerful warships in the world, including the 7,400-ton Ting Yuen, demonstrating overwhelming naval superiority over Japan and other neighboring countries."

TRUTH " At the Battle of the Yalu River on 17 September 1894, Due to a design defect, Dingyuan was unable to fire its main battery directly forward without destroying its flying bridge – a fact that the captain was well aware of. Admiral Ding and most of his staff were incapacitated by this incident. Japanese fire also damaged the Dingyuan’s ability to signal other ships in the fleet."

"Japan, in particular, was in the infancy of its modern statehood, having ended shogunate rule less than 20 years earlier."

TRUTH: See above, when can an infant invade and colonized China?

"In 1886, the Qing dynasty's Northern Ocean Fleet appeared off Nagasaki, and sailors from a fleet who came ashore in the city went on the rampage--assaulting citizens, raping women and looting local stores. The rampage, known as "Nagasaki Incident," left two people dead and 29 injured. Japan was intimidated by the Chinese behavior."

TRUTH: " While in Nagasaki on 13 August 1886, a number of drunken sailors from Zhenyuan became involved in a brawl in a local brothel, during which a Japanese police officer was fatally stabbed. Attributing the issue to lax discipline, Qing Admiral Ding Ruchang suspended shore leave for a day, but allowed 450 sailors to go ashore on 15 August. Contrary to an agreement with local authorities, many were armed. Anticipating trouble due to increasing anti-Chinese sentiment by the local population, the Japanese police deployed additional men, but were unable to prevent a riot from erupting between stone-throwing locals and the men from Zhenyuan. In what came to be called the Nagasaki Incident, 6 sailors were killed and 45 wounded, along with five Japanese policemen killed and 16 wounded."

... NO rape Nanking style was reported!

from yomiuri shinbun:

"Although China had not made claims to the Senkaku Islands by that time, the Japanese government decided not to provoke China by declaring sovereignty over the islands and chose, instead, to send fishermen to the islands to establish a foothold. "

Now this is the most revealing admission from Japan that they knew the Tiauyutai belongs to Taiwan whose Ilan fishermen have shelters and even tombs in the islands long before the Japanese fishing group were sent there.

The funny question is ... how can Japan provoke China when according to Japan the islets belongs to them in the first place?

What can the world expect from a Japan that even lies to her own Fukushima folks after the tsunami and earthquake?

If not for the USA declaring an 80 mile safety radius Japan even lied to her own citizens that 30 mile radius is safe!

MORE CONTRADICTING LIES FROM YOMIURI SHIN:

"As Japan received no protest from China or any other nation against its fishery activities based on the Senkaku Islands as constituting a territorial infringement, the Japanese government declared the islands part of its territory in January 1895.

At that time, the Sino-Japanese War was drawing to its close. Three months later, the Treaty of Shimonoseki was signed to stipulate terms of compensation and territorial concessions from China to Japan, the victor in the war. In the process of negotiating terms of the treaty, the issue of Senkakus was never raised by either side. Thus, there was no mention of the Senkaku Islands in the treaty."

Please compare this to same Yomiuru claims:

"

But at that time, China under the Qing dynasty had some of the most powerful warships in the world, including the 7,400-ton Ting Yuen, demonstrating overwhelming naval superiority over Japan and other neighboring countries.

Japan, in particular, was in the infancy of its modern statehood, having ended shogunate rule less than 20 years earlier."

How can an infant be the victor?

Thank you Yomiuru for exposing Japanese lies!

Japan, in particular, was in the infancy of its modern statehood, having ended shogunate rule less than 20 years earlier."

TRUTH:

"In early 1895, the remnants of the Beiyang Fleet was based at Liugong Island within Weihaiwei. During the Battle of Weihaiwei, the Imperial Japanese Army seized the landward fortifications of the naval base, the Japanese navy attacked from seaward. On 5 February 1895, the Dingyuan was seriously damaged after being hit by a Japanese torpedo and later cannon fire. Captain Liu Buchan ordered the ship scuttled, before committing suicide on the surrender of the Beiyang Fleet by Admiral Ding Ruchang."

SNEAKY JAPAN! Sounds familiar?

Clearly Diaoyu Islands belong to China not Japan. This can be proved by historical records. China got my vote here. Aggressive Japan keep stealing and taking other nation's lands like Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and even Australia. Japan will keep doing this aggressive move and countries should beware of their extremist/militarist Abe government.

Loaded with a PH.D from a very prestigious US University and experience as a State Dept. top guy, Taiwan have embraced me with a wide open arm!

Not only did a prestigious university aggressively
recruited me for a professorial position , I's also blessed to have a beautiful and rich Taiwanese lady from Lugang as a wife.

Now we are blessed with a smart handsome boy and a wise beautiful girl, thanks to my super DNA!

Since I choose to bring my talents here I am now a celebrity superstar , aside from being a professor, an award winning blogger , biker and TV show personality!

But I still insist even when no one is asking me that the Senkakus belongs to Japan!

I always take personal pleasure in ridiculing Taiwan's claim on those islands! ROFL!

Maybe it's because I still miss my old Japanese flame.

You are so stupid it's not even funny, China would never bomb Japan for something that insignificant because they know the US and NATO will have to get involved.

Japanese aggression and evils need to be curbed and exposed to the world. I am constantly amazed why Japanese people and politicians do not sincerely repent in action of the past evil deeds against humanity like German has done. The rise of Japanese aggression and militarism is a real threat to the world not just her neighbours.
